The following Inquiry tasks are collaborative, which means you need to work as a group and delegate responsibilities. You will need to decide on a group leader who needs to make sure each group member completes their tasks. Communication is very important to ensure you are all continuing to work towards a common goal in your inquiry. You are to communicate via the wikispaces mail option through your wiki, this way I can view how well you have delegated, communicated, managed and completed your tasks, etc.

Task One: Inquiry > Setting up your wiki

Set up your inquiry wikispace pages. You must have a page named each of the following:
They must each appear in the navigation and link to the appropriate page. You will need to decide who does this in your group.

Home
Big Concept
Knowledge Saturation
Essential Questions
Hypothesise
Investigate
Thinking Deeper
Present
Reflect, Evaluate, Critique
SO WHAT?!

Task Two: Inquiry > Log

Set up a log on your home page with 30 rows and 3 columns. Head up the columns as below. You will need to decide who sets this up.

Complete your log each time you do something for your inquiry. Make sure you include the date and your action. See example below:

Found newspaper article about rising sea levels and posted main points on Knowledge Saturation page.
Well done boys. You have made a fantastic start to your inquiry and thought critically about the sources of information you use. I look forward to seeing more facts posted on your knowlede saturation page about the rising sea levels.

Task Three: Inquiry > Knowledge Saturation

Complete the KNOWLEDGE SATURATION stage of your inquiry. Look for links, information, images, videos, interactive games, facts from books, newspapers etc that inform you about your topic in any way. Post each item on your KNOWLEDGE SATURATION page. Underneath each item you post, write a brief description or bullet points to say what you learned from the source. Your page should be full and engaging, but make sure you THINK CRITICALLY about the content you post, don't just put anything up just because it is related to your topic!

Task Four: English > Persuasive writing

See worksheet for details

Task Five: Mathematics > Number > Adding and Subtracting Fractions

Complete the sheets handed out in class. Trim and glue into your books under the appropriate headings
