Task One: English: Nonsense Rhymes
To thank Fane Flaw for his wonderful gift of his book and accompanying CD: The Underwater Melon Man, we are going to write our own nonsense rhymes and illustrations to match ans send him copies to show how he has inspired us.
at least 6 lines (3 sets of rhyming 'couplets')
A4 full colour illustration to match (you can get some ideas from the book, or come up with your own style)
We will compile everyone's work for a resource to be read during silent reading, as well as sending copies to Fane Flaws. Be creative and enjoy this nonsense task! Remember, as he said in the book, grow old, not up!
Investigate: due Wednesday 9th September Thinking Deeper: due Friday 10th September. See http://theworldmychildrenwillinherit.wikispaces.com/Thinking+Deeper for how you are to complete this stage. Present: Monday 13th September
We will discuss how to complete the Thinking Deeper and Present stages in class.
