Room 16's Homework Grading Criteria
CONTENT
A
All tasks completed in sufficient depth. High level of effort.
B
One or some tasks incomplete. Not completed in sufficient depth. Medium level of effort.
C
Many tasks incomplete. Poor level of effort.
X
Homework not handed in.

C
Poor effort with layout and headings not clearly stated or included at all. Looks unclear and messy.
X
Homework not handed in.
Task One: Mathematics - 8 Quick Questions (remember to write the question and answer)
1. List the prime numbers between 20 and 50
2. List the factors of 30
3. List the first 7 multiples of 8
4. Reduce $150 by 15%
5. 1, 3, 9, 27, ...., ....., ..... (list the next 3 numbers)
6. Find one eighth of 96
7. 3+2x5-4(25-9)=
8. Sangyun buys dinner for himself and three friends. It costs him $108. How much does each meal cost (assuming that they each cost the same amount). Show your working and be prepared to explain it.
Task Two: Mathematics - Problem Solving
(optional for experts - see if your parents can do this!)
This is a 5th grade math problem. If you can open the spreadsheet, you'll
see it's a very small list of people who have gotten the correct number.
This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem & don't say that
the bus doesn't have legs.
There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack,
there are 7 big cats. For every big cat, there are 7 little cats.
The bus driver is not in the bus at this time.
Question:
How many legs are there in the bus? (The number of legs is the password to unlock the excel spreadsheet. If you open it, add your name, save it, and then send it on to see who else can unlock it.)
In class we have been learning about making predictions about a text prior to reading. Complete the following sheets to practise this strategy.
1. What Happens next?
2. What Happened?
