Maths - House design project
Task 2a:
Make sure your first 3 sheets for your house design project have been completed. Keep these in a safe place. Please ask Mrs Monk to check your second sheet before enlarging to check it is accurate and you are on the right track.
Sheet 1: 5 designs of ideas for a house. Each design should have a name
Sheet 2: Your chosen design drawn from the front, back, left, and right. Each view must be labelled with an arrow pointing to the side being viewed (include the name of your house)
Sheet 3: Enlarged drawing of your chosen house design to a scale factor of 2 or 3 (you may choose)
Task 2b:
1. Brainstorm ideas for a company name for your building company! Things to think about when choosing your name:
Check out this list of existing construction company names from the Yellow Pages to get your ideas flowing!
Will the name appeal to your target market? (The people you can imagine buying your house). Is your target market wealthy, middle class, financially struggling, New Zealanders, overseas investors?
Is the name easy to say and will it roll off the tongue nicely?
Is the name catchy and creative?
2. Write your name under this task name.
3. Find or draw some images that you think relate to your company name and what you sell. We will look in class at how to create a logo, but if you have some images that is a great start!
Task Three: Social Sciences Inquiry
Keep up to date with your Inquiry into your chosen 'outstanding, effective citizen'. Mrs Monk will be giving you tasks in class. Please complete anything that you do not get completed in class and also whatever Mrs Monk sets for you.
