Task One: Mathematics - prime and composite numbers

Task Two: Inquiry
a. Biopoem
Publish your Biopoem about your chosen citizen onto a sheet of A4 for your portfolio. It must have the title 'Biopoem: (name of your citizen)'. Centre justify the text and provide a photo somewhere on the page. Be thoughtful about where you place your items, is it pleasing to the eye?
b. Monument design.
This task answers the sythesis question: If a monument were to be designed for my citizen, what would it look like? Design a monument for your citizen to be displayed in a local museum or reserve where they are from. Think about the shape, colour, size, etc of your monument. How does it reflect your citizen's interests/ service to the community?
Check out the following websites for examples of famous monuments to get some ideas. Yours does not have to be on such a large scale, rather something that would be suited for a local park or a cabinet in a museum. Be creative!
We have been exploroing in class how different people respond to emotions differently. Create as poster for students 11-14 years old, promoting the need to talk about our feelings. You will be voting to send the top posters through to the competition!
