It was great to meet everyone on Wednesday, what a great day we had! I look forward to getting to know you and your strengths and interests over the next few days.
A few tasks for you to do at home this week... (by next Monday)
Remember it is to be your BEST effort. Set the high standards you would like to maintain this year.
Give your notices to your parents. Stationery money is to come to school tomorrow. Bring your money and completed stationery sheet.
Show your parents this wiki and explain to them what we use it for. A newsletter will be going home early next week to explain this further.
Complete your personal profile (including a photo of you. It can be a baby photo if you like, we know what you look like now!)
Find a novel to read for pleasure. Bring it to school on Thursday.
Explore the teamdstuff wiki pages (Student Resource Area and Cool Tools for Schools). Write down the top 3 tasks you tried and write a brief explanation of how you think they could help advance your learning. Be prepared to share this in class. If you know of any other cool learning sites, please write down the address and let me know so I can put them up in the Student Resource Area for everyone to use!
Goals: Start thinking about goals you would like to achieve this year. We will be setting goals on Monday so have an idea of what to write for your two goals. A minimum of one must be academic and the other one can be cultural, sporting, personal, behavioural, musical, etc.
Get to know you! Take this online Multiple Intelligences Test to see how you learn best! Print off your results and bring them into class on Monday!
